The improvised madness that brings together six theatre companies together returns for its 18th birthday celebration – the Illawarra’s longest running annual theatrical event which is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face and a warmth in your heart.
This battle of the companies is more than just a night of improvised comedy – it’s a philosophy of cooperation and friendship between some of the key theatre groups in the Illawarra and the Shoalhaven.
Returning from their first Playmates last year are the champions from Nowra, those talented all-singing thespians from Albatross Musical Theatre Company who will defend their trophy.
Hungry to regain the trophy that they have held more than any other group, and last year’s runner up group is UNIVERSITY along with fellow foundation teams Wollongong Workshop Theatre, Roo Theatre, Stanwell Park Arts Theatre (SPAT) and our team of reserve actors under the banner of producing company Black Box Productions.
This one night only event is at the Bridge Street Theatre, home of the Phoenix Theatre Company. Tickets $22/$17 and is suitable for adults and children alike!
