Seeking Actors and Directors
– Submissions for Writers CLOSED
HOW DOES IT WORK?
24 HOUR THEATRE is a fast and furious project, where teams of actors, writers and directors will create and produce completely original short plays all in 24 hours. In the afternoon of Saturday 12th April 2014 actors will be grouped into their acting ensembles and assigned a writer (or writing team) and a director. Each writer will draw a topic or ‘red-herring’ out of a hat, of which they will need to include in the play that they will write THAT NIGHT. There will also be a communal topic drawn that all plays must incorporate into the plays. Writers will have an opportunity to brainstorm their ideas with their director and actors on the evening.
At 9:00am the next morning, the writer will hand the original script to their director and actors who will learn their lines, stage their play and perform it that night. This is an exciting challenge and stacks of fun!
